QUILT SHOP HOP

The 3 of us, Roxy, Laurelee and Laura.  We headed out of town on Thursday to go to Payson.  We hit the slow down (crawl) in Springville.  One of them said let's take the Benjamin exit.  We should get there sooner than this crawl will.  We were in between huge semis and trailers going out for the hunt.  After leaving the exit we headed into the little town of Salem.  It was beautiful there.  None of us had ever been there.  We wound our way around the park and pond and eventually found ourselves in Payson and the first of 12 quilt shops we hit during the day.  In the beginning we spent a lot of time browsing and later figured out that all we needed to do was get our card stamped.  We had a wonderful time--1 driver and 2 back seat drivers but we got a lot done.

This is the tree in my back corner of the yard.  This indicates how gorgeous our day was to hit those shops.

These are some of the quilts that we got kits for.  It was a pleasure to spend money like it was flowing from the fountain. haha!

The Dick and Jane quilts really struck a cord in my sentimental side.  I love this one.

This one will take forever.  Roxanne got this one also.  The center is all embroidery work which I don't mind at all.  It looks like my winters work is all cut out for me.  Well, not cut out yet but it will be.

On Friday we finished up with the stores up North to Roy.  Kind of fun when you haven't explored these cities before.

Just in case you were wondering, my favorite is the first quilt with the orange, blues, and greens. Glad you had a great time!
