5K

Here I am at 62 years old and starting a blog site.  I barely know what the word means but after reading my daughters and her friends blogs I've decided I'm not to old to try.

Today we took Trax uptown to attend the Salt L
ake Marathon.  Only to watch.  My nephew, Wes, and his wife Jill have a daughter named Olivia who has a rare genetic disorder.  Jill and Wes brought family and friends together to run the 5K in support of Olivia.  The gro
up is called Olivia's Team.  They were dressed in white t-shirts with a purple logo and the definition of champion on the back.  They put this group together to gain support for the study of the this rare disorder and to get folks to open up their pocket books to help fund this research.

Our son Dallin also gathered a group of 71 6th
graders from Uinta Elementary to run.  They won a trophy for have the most students
in this run.  YOU GO KIDS!!

Our niece Ally ran in the Half Marathon and hardly looked winded when she came in.  I know her husband and children were very proud of her.

Next year Lee and I will at least buy a t-shirt.
